The dream of our founder, the Venerable Servant of God, Fr. Michael J. McGivney, was to provide for and protect the families and widows of Catholic men who lost their lives to the deplorable working conditions of the late 19th century. Even as our society has evolved, this continues as our primary mission today and the only way to ensure this is to offer membership in our Order to every catholic man that we come into contact with in our daily lives.
We all lead busy lives so the recruiting of new members must be for a specific purpose. Perhaps there is no time to attend a meeting every month, but a Service Program offered by the council appeals to prospective members. Use the plethora of programs available to attract and recruit new members. Youth Activities, Church Activities, Right to Life programs, or our Drive for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities touch upon a great cross-section of interest. Use these programs to attract new members to our councils.
Never forget the financial protection and security offered by the various products issued by the Insurance Department. Use your Field Agent or General Agent to assist you in attracting new members. A Fraternal Benefits Night for potential and existing members is a great way to showcase the desire of the order to protect our families.
Please feel free to call up me or any member of the Membership Team should you need assistance in recruiting or retaining members for our Order.
