LET'S GET COOKING!!!

Here's the goal:  Publish and sell a NJ State Council Cookbook filled with recipes from kitchens from all over the Garden State as a state convention fundraiser.

Here's the process:  Submit your favorite recipe(s) in the format outlined below.  All recipes need to be typed and received NO LATER than November 1, 2008.  Email is the preferred submission method, however, US Mail is also acceptable.  Each recipe will have the "cook's" name attached.

Here's the full scoop:  The idea is to put together and publish a cookbook to be ready for sale by December 1, 2008.  The sale of the cookbook will, of course, cover the cost of publication, and then, hopefully offset the cost of the Ladies Luncheon held annually at the NJ State Convention in Wildwood.   This would keep the Ladies Luncheon ticket prices at a reasonable rate.

The next step is to SELECT recipes from this cookbook to be served at the 2008 Ladies Luncheon held during the State Convention in Wildwood, NJ.  We have invited chefs from Elijah's Promise (see www.elijahspromise.net) to prepare the luncheon using recipes that have been published in our cookbook.  They will do the selecting.  Whose recipe will be used?  You need to attend the luncheon to find out!

Should the sale of the cookbook AND the Ladies Luncheon be a huge success, then a donation will be made to The Grain of Wheat Foundation which was begun by Mrs. Bridget Kennedy in memory of her husband, Past Sate Deputy Bill Kennedy.  The Grain Of Wheat Foundation has committed itself to providing a working kitchen for the Elijah's Promise Culinary School.

So, you see how the idea comes "full circle" - recipes from great home cooks to provide a kitchen for training professional cooks and we have a wonderful luncheon in the process!

SO LET'S GET STARTED!!  Submit your favorite recipe to Noreen Ciborski at either the following email address or mailing address:
