The members and their wives attending the Supreme Convention in Quebec City began travelling to Quebec on Wednesday, July 30. Eleven went together in a van, among the them State Secretary Herb Meyer and his wife Ann, John Weiser, F.M., and Bridget Kennedy, leaving Sunday August 3. They began the trip by praying the Rosary, a smart move considering who was driving. They made a few rest stops along the way, stopping for lunch at Grandma's restaurant, just off the New York Thruway. It was a pleasant lunch, with good friendship being the main course. Upon arrival at the Canadian Border, there was a bit of a delay, but they made it through and stopped the first night in Montreal, staying at the Holiday Inn - Midtown. Msgr Innozenzi led the group in Mass on Monday morning before they began the second leg of their "Journey to Quebec City" |
