On 04/30/06 Knights of Columbus Stella Maris Council 3546 donated an AED Defibrillator to St Raymond's Roman Catholic Church. Epiphany Council 8160 (Brick, NJ) has made it an annual tradition to organize and host a local Special Olympics in Brick Township (Ocean County) but also to help staff the State Special Olympics which is held in June.. |
The First New Jersey District Fourth Degree Assemblies for many years have been providing assistance to the veterans in the state veteran hospitals and homes with robes, appliances, toiletries, etc., For the last six months Sir Knight Robert Tarantula from North Arlington has been collecting donations and sweat pants to be distributed to the New Jersey Veterans Homes in Paramus and Menlo Park, and the Veterans Hospitals in East Orange and Lyons Hospital in Basking Ridge. To date as seen in the first picture (next module) Sir Knights Richard Deprizio and Robert Tarantula, Assembly 1543, North Arlington, Frederick Conforti, Master of the Fourth Degree, William Rudloff, co-chairman of the Robe-A-Vet Program have collected donations to buy more than 700 sweatpants, 55 sweatshirts, 144 robes, and 175 T-shirts. In picture 2 Robert is giving Veteran Anthony Palumbo, President of the Resident Council, a summer robe and a pair of sweat pants at the New Jersey Veterans Home in Paramus. |

Congratulations to Brother Edward Kasuba, a member and an officer of Father Harold Koeppen Council 7774, Winslow Twp., NJ, upon receiving 1st Place in the New Jersey Associated Press Broadcasters Association Annual Competition for Radio & Television. Ed received his award on May 9, 2006 at the Association's banquet in Princeton. |
